Dunmore >Ragnacci's Family Restaurant
Excellent food at a reasonable price. I've been eating at Ragnacci's for years, and I've found the food to be consistently excellent! The soups and sauces are homemade, the gnocchi is to to die for, and the veal melts in your mouth. My mouth is watering thinking about it!
I would’ve given it an overall 2 ½. We got large portions, of rather mediocre food (I generally refer to this sort of place as a “Portion Palace”). The scallops were terribly undercooked, and both the filet mignon and prime rib were a bit tough and somewhat tasteless. The ambiance was nice. The bar seemed pleasantly lively and cozy, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The service was not great, but our waitress did make an effort.
The “No Tank Tops” sign at the entrance seemed out of place. The soup was tasty. We obtained our salads via their self-service salad bar, and while it was reasonably fresh, there was a very limited selection. This place should use linen napkins! Basically, when we pay $16-25 for entrées in Northeastern Pennsylvania, we do expect better. We may very well go to their bar for drinks and to try a sandwich, in the future.
Great Food Better Price. If you are looking for a nice mom and pop Italian resturant you found it. The staff makes you feel at home and the food is fabulous.
