Terry & Dennis - A Dynamic Duo!. Nye Jewelers truly is a "diamond in the rough," no pun intended! I had a watch which simply needed a new battery and after going to several lousy places at the Viewmont Mall where I was told I would have to leave it for a day or so, I decided to venture across the street to Nye Jewelers. I drive an eighteen wheeler and am always traveling so I needed it done quick. I was hesitant to go to Nye's at first because, it being a jewelry store, I thought it would cost an arm and a leg, but I couldn't have been more wrong!

The place is run by two brothers, Terry and Dennis - they are good guys, very nice and folksy. They fixed the watch ON THE SPOT at a fraction of the price of the mall vendors! While I was there I spotted some really high quality rings and diamonds, and I have been going back ever since as a regular customer.

It's good to know places like this still exist. Every time I have a couple off days from the big rig, I stop down to shoot the breeze with them, even if I'm not going to buy anything. There is absolutely no better place to go for jewelry in NEPA.

Bad business!!. I had my diamond engagment ring and diamond wedding band both platinum resized to be made bigger in this store. First after telling us that platinum is really a poor metal (I should have realized at that point they were Bozo's) we left and were called later them telling us they did not realize that both rings were platinum it went from 1 ring 100.00 to resize and the other 30.00 that they would both cost 100.00. They made quite a mess thinning the platinum and not adding to resize the rings broke after 2 months when i brought it back to have it fixed he threw my rings on the counter and told me I must have swam in to much clorine in the pool! He said what do you want for 30.00 I informed him he charged me 100.00 each ring . These 2 brothers are crude and completely unknowledgable to jewelery. I would never go to this establishment again. I had a wonderful experience at ultra gold in the crossings and purchased a new Diamondbridal set for 6000.00 Had it appraised at another jeweler and was told i got a great deal. Your loss Nye bothers!!
