I cannot believe places like Cicotti's
still exist in the world. These guy's were absolutely Sterling in their service and quality. Tom (the owner) helped me design the perfect engagement ring, and the thing is it wasn't some big fancy ring - simple, elegant and perfect. Tom will work with you on the price, the band, the prongs that hold the stone - whatever you want, he will make happen.
The shop is like an escape to simpler times; very old school, like Manhattan circa 1930 - you look up and see masters of their craft making pieces that will last a lifetime. There is very little in the display cases they do have, which I want to stress because you don't go there to pick out a generic ring, or a bracelet or a necklace - you have one crafted for you. When you're done, you will have a piece that is one of a kind. A piece that so much time and care was put into. What else can I say - absolutely Sterling. Go talk to Tom. You'll be glad you did. 10/10
