Not what I was hoping for – I recently went to the new location in Clarks Summit and I have to say that I didn’t love it. Initially I was confused about what do to use to even enter the spa. There are signs everywhere but there is no clear entrance. I eventually figured out what door to enter and the music in the waiting area was very loud and very eclectic, it was not the relaxing spa music I had expected. I suppose this is because when you walk in, you walk into the salon area. It’s a very different vibe than the spa area.
Once I was taken back to the spa area I was lead to a ladies locker room. I did like the individual lockers (with locks), robes and slippers. I did not like the community changing area. I was able to change while no one was in there. I was told that after I changed I could have a seat in the room just outside the locker area. When I opened the door there was already someone sitting in the chair. So I just stood there in a small room with a woman I didn’t know waiting in uncomfortable silence waiting for someone to come and get one of us. She was the first to be called so then I took the seat and waited for someone to come and get me.
A young man came to get me for my facial. He was very polite and clean cut. He led me back to one of the rooms where I was instructed to lay in the bed and he would be back in a few minutes. He came back shortly and did the facial. It was very nice and I really enjoyed what he did. Unfortunately the facial room had windows facing the parking lot, so throughout my relaxing facial I could hear the beeping of car horns as people locked their cars. Also, the sink used during the facial was loud and distracting. When I’m laying there trying to relax I don’t want to hear water going down the drain. I’ve had facials at other spas where this doesn’t happen. I think they need to figure out how to do a facial without the sink.
After my facial I received a manicure. I was not happy with this service at all. I had arrived with a dark polish on my nails and the girl who did the manicure didn’t get it all off. She just painted over it with a lighter color. You could still see bits of dark polish underneath. When I got home I redid it and it looked 10 times better.
I don’t think I will be going to this spa again. I paid a lot of money and didn’t leave feeling relaxed at all not to mention I had to redo my own nails because they looked so bad.
No place in Pensylvania like this. Salon, spa and Medispa services all under on roof 7400sq/ft Beautiful, Clean,Great therapists, and excellent customer service...parties, outdoor patio, sauna & steam – We have had massages and facials all over the country and beyond. I couldn't believe how inexpensive my day was and how great ther service was. We even had lunch and free vino. Take a tour for yourself...you don't have to leave town and spend a ton of money for a World Class experience. I understand they have 2 locations... this one in Scranton and another in Wilkes-Barre. Their motto is "Pampering with a Purpose"...awesome, holistic and nuturing. From the looks of iy its a great place for parties too...the place was very busy.
